Coverture Fraction = Creditable Service Months during Marriage / Total Creditable Service Months at Retirement

The non-employee former spouse's awarded benefit is then determined as:

Awarded Benefit = Total Monthly Pension × Coverture Fraction × Awarded Percentage (e.g. 50%)
